Executive Vice President, Head of Global Technical Operations and Chief Production Officer
Armin joined Ferring Pharmaceuticals in 2016 as Senior Vice President, Head of Global Pharmaceutical R&D, and was appointed Executive Vice President, Head of Global Technical Operations and Chief Production Officer in July 2019.
Armin has more than 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry and, prior to joining Ferring, spent 17 years with Merck and Merck Serono in various global leadership positions, including Senior Vice President, Head of Global Biologics Manufacturing and Development, where he led CMC, Medical Devices, Drug Substance and Drug Product Clinical and Commercial Manufacturing, Secondary Packaging and Medical Device Assembly. As head of this global network, he was responsible for more than 1,200 people across Europe and Canada.
Armin holds a Ph.D. from the University of Bayreuth, Germany in Biochemistry and completed a Postdoc from the Medical Research Council, Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK.
